Ingentia Energies Limited has repositioned itself as a globally focused Exploration and production company, achieving new phases of operational and organizational growth.
In operations, Ingentia Energies recently completed drilling, completion, and testing of two additional development wells within the Egbolom Field, representing another key milestone in the phased implementation of the Egbolom Field Development Plan (FDP).
The company's corporate journey highlighted a leadership transition that ushered in Engr. Victor Agbaroji as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Engr. Charles Odita, whose tenure was marked by remarkable operational growth and strategic progress.
Among the most notable achievements recorded during Engr. Charles Odita's tenure was a 150 per cent increase in production, a milestone the Board attributed to the successful implementation of the company's operational and growth-focused strategies. This unprecedented achievement followed the successful completion of Egbolom-1ST (EGB-1ST) and Egbolom-3 (EGB-03); total production capacity at the Egbolom Field surged to over 5,000 bopd, further strengthening the field's production performance and value realization.
Engr. Charles Odita's tenure oversaw the Egbolom-1ST (EGB-1ST) and Egbolom-3 (EGB-03) drilling and completion campaigns, key milestones in Ingentia Energies' Phase One Field Development campaign and evidence of the company's successful execution of its drilling, completion, and reservoir management strategies.
The Egb-01ST and Egb-3 wells were safely drilled and completed in April 2026 and July 2026, respectively, to access multiple hydrocarbon-bearing reservoir intervals, overcoming operational and subsurface challenges while delivering critical production and reservoir data. EGB-1ST was drilled as a sidetrack from the previously suspended Egbolom-1, drilled in 1982 and suspended for over 3 decades.
EGB-1ST was drilled to a total depth of 10,996 ft MD (9,965 ft TVD) and completed as a Two-String, Multi-Zone Producer targeting the C4000, C5000, and D5000 reservoirs. The well encountered a total of 322 ft of gross hydrocarbon sand in six reservoirs.
As the transition took effect, the company's Board of Directors paid tribute to Odita's leadership, describing his time at the helm as instrumental in reshaping the organization and laying a strong foundation for future expansion.
The Board's commendation was conveyed in a letter signed by its Chairman, Chief Oseni Elamah, after a meeting held in Lagos and attended by both the outgoing and incoming chief executives. According to the Board, Odita's stewardship marked a significant chapter in the evolution of Ingentia Energies, driven by a clear strategic vision, effective execution, and strong leadership.
With the baton now passed, Agbaroji has signaled his determination to build on the gains already achieved. Acknowledging the progress made under his predecessor, he pledged to sustain the momentum while steering the company through its next phase of growth and development.
Outlining his strategic priorities, Agbaroji said management would focus on enhancing drilling activities, extracting greater value from existing assets, improving cost efficiencies, broadening the company's asset portfolio, and maximizing opportunities within its gas resources.
He further identified crude oil evacuation infrastructure as a key enabler of future production growth, affirming that Ingentia Energies would intensify efforts to advance its pipeline evacuation project in support of its long-term production objectives while reaffirming management's commitment to preserving and extending the achievements of the previous administration, stressing that the company would continue to benefit from the expertise, experience, and institutional knowledge cultivated during Odita's leadership.
The transition represents a significant milestone for Ingentia Energies as it seeks to consolidate recent successes, increase production capacity, strengthen operational efficiency, and reinforce its standing as a leading indigenous energy company committed to delivering sustainable value to stakeholders.
