The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has taken a significant step towards enhancing its operational efficiency in the commission by promoting the adoption of Microsoft technologies.
In a bid to drive innovation, change management and technology adoption, the Commission, in partnership with Signal Alliance Technology Holding (SATH), has embarked on a comprehensive In-house training program for its staff, focusing on the effective utilization of Microsoft tools.
The training, which kicked off on Wednesday, September 11 2024, aims to equip NUPRC staff with the skills and knowledge required to leverage Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, Viva Suites, Teams Premium, M365 E Stack, amongst others.
According to a statement by the Executive Commissioner for Corporate Services and Administration, Dr Kelechi Ofoegbu, “leveraging technology can improve the Commission’s regulatory oversight, enhance operational efficiency, enable data-driven decisions, attract investments, build capacity and ultimately establish NUPRC as Africa’s leading regulator in the upstream petroleum sector.”
Adopting Microsoft technologies will aid the Commission in fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, streamline operations, improve data management, and boost innovation and excellence. All of which are veritable tools for ensuring that NUPRC remains a technologically advanced regulator.
With this initiative, NUPRC joins the ranks of leading organizations embracing digital transformation to drive growth and productivity.
