Schneider Electric Nigeria would like to encourage more residential and small building electricians to join the mySchneider Electrician Rewards Programme and enjoy the added benefits that come with purchasing Schneider Electric products.
Chidinma Muomah, at Schneider Electric Anglophone West Africa, explains that the programme is designed to drive sales of the company’s products in Nigeria’s residential and small building electrician market.
“We want to encourage residential and small building electricians to make Schneider Electric their preferred partner of choice. We consider electricians to be influencers in the market, as they are the ones who are out there interacting with the customer. As such, we want them to push Schneider Electric products to the end customer,” says Muomah.
Claim rewards
To participate in the mySchneider Electrician Rewards Programme, electricians must register on the mySchneider App. They can then claim their rewards each time they make a purchase of an applicable Schneider Electric product at any one of its official partners store outlet.
“Once they have registered on the App, they can start submitting their invoices as proof that they have purchased a Schneider Electric product from an official partner. After their invoice gets approved, they will be awarded a certain of points, depending on the value of the purchase,” says Muomah.
“Electricians can earn up to 3000 points per transaction depending on the worth of goods purchased. They can then redeem these points to receive either a gift card or selected products, such as solar lamps or overalls.”
Muomah also explains that another aspect of the rewards programme is its aim to promote safe electrical practices through periodic training sessions for electricians. Electricians can use the mySchneider app to access training materials.
Best-in-class products
She notes that along with driving sales for Schneider Electric, the programme is also designed to reward electricians for using products that are best-in-class and of high quality and participants will be first in line for notifications of new product alerts, sales promotions and savings opportunities.
By joining the programme and using the app, electricians will be directed to Schneider Electric’s authorised retailers and distributors, which mitigates the risk of them buying counterfeit Schneider Electric products.
“While the programme is aimed at residential and small electricians, there are benefits for official partners too because the programme will drive an increase in traffic through their outlets which will allow them to up-sell other ancillary products,” says Muomah.
“There is also training available to electricians through the programme, as we not only want them to push Schneider Electric products in the market but to also be ambassadors for safe practices.”
Muomah adds that there are currently about 2000 electricians registered on the mySchneider app, and the company is looking to expand the programme next year to include more benefits for participants.
