In a resilient effort to forestall incessant crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism in the nation’s oil and gas sector and subsequently ramping up the crude oil production, the Minister of Petroleum (Oil) Honorable Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri has held a Strategic Security Stakeholders’ Meeting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The meeting which was held earlier today at the Six Division Army Headquarters in Port Harcourt was attended by the members of NNPCL management team led by the Group Managing Director Mr. Mele Kyari Harcourt, Rivers State, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa; the Security Heads of Operation Delta Safe in the Niger Delta and key stakeholders in the nation’s Oil and Gas Industry.
The recent Strategic Security Stakeholders’ Meeting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State is part of the recent progressive moves embarked upon by the indefatigably petroleum minister in ramping up the nation’s crude oil production to ensure that Nigeria meets her OPEC quota of 2 million barrels per day and equally her domestic refineries’ demands.
