Making this known via his social media X handle, the Minister of Petroleum Resources (Oil) Senator   Heineken Lokpobiri stated that this giant stride taken by the President Tinubu is born out quest by his administration to instill transparency and accountability in the nation’s oil and gas production sector in particular and affairs of governance in general.

“As we work towards ramping up production, we are intensifying efforts to ensure transparency in the production and sale of our petroleum products, aiming to eliminate crude theft and diversion.

“Briefing the press today, I highlighted Federal Executive Council's approvals and award of a contract for the metering of the 187 flow stations across the Niger Delta region to be coordinated by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC),” Hon. Lokpobiri Said.
