Oilserv has taken a significant step forward in its continental growth strategy by signing a landmark Agreement Protocol with the Gabonese State to develop and commercialize hydrocarbon resources in the DEF-3 and D4-5 blocks in Gabon.
The agreement, an economic initiative of Gabon to unlock its abundant gas resources, was formalized by the Honorable Minister of Petroleum and Gas of Gabon, H.E. Clotaire KONDJA, and the Chairman/GCEO of Oilserv Group, Engr. Dr. Emeka Okwuosa, CON, goes beyond resource development.
The agreement will further create a framework for developing critical gas transportation, compression, and treatment infrastructure to support a reliable gas supply for thermal power generation and industrial development in Gabon. And that is what makes this partnership particularly significant.
This milestone strategic agreement will revolutionize Gabon's domestic gas utilization and commercialization, and set the flare-out agenda of the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas in motion. The development of the DEF-3 and D4-5 blocks addresses this challenge by creating a nexus between gas production, processing facilities, and end users.
Africa does not only need energy resources. Africa needs the infrastructure that transforms those resources into reliable power, industrial growth, and economic value. Oilserv is bringing decades of experience in complex energy infrastructure, integrated project delivery and indigenous African engineering capability to this opportunity.
From hydrocarbon development and gas monetization to transportation, processing and energy infrastructure, the partnership positions Oilserv to contribute across critical segments of the energy value chain.
For Gabon, this represents an opportunity to unlock greater value from its natural resources and strengthen its energy infrastructure. For Oilserv, it represents another important step in our ambition to support Africa's energy transformation through African expertise, innovation and world-class engineering capabilities.
As countries across the continent pursue energy security, industrialization and economic resilience, partnerships that connect resources → infrastructure → energy → industry → economic value will become increasingly important.
This is bigger than entering a new market. It is about building the energy systems that will power Africa's future.
